Vision

Across Africa, the fire is where stories are told, meals are shared, and families come together. But for millions, that same fire also brings danger. The thick black smoke from traditional cooking fires fills homes, pollutes the air, and harms both people and the planet.

Over the years, the world has grown hotter- about 1.5°C warmer- and Africa is feeling it deeply. Droughts, floods, and unpredictable seasons are becoming part of daily life. Much of this change comes from the way we use energy. Burning fuels like petrol, LPG, and firewood releases carbon dioxide (CO₂), a major greenhouse gas. But few people realize that black smoke - the soot rising from open fires - is thousands of times more harmful to the climate.

That’s why Ukubasa was born - an African solution to an African challenge. Our stoves are designed for our way of life: strong, efficient, and clean. They cut out the smoke without cutting out the heart of the fire. With every stove, families breathe easier, children grow healthier, and women spend less time gathering firewood and more time building their futures.

Ukubasa isn’t just about cleaner cooking - it’s about dignity, opportunity, and hope. Each flame tells a story of change: less smoke in the air, less strain on the land, and more light in people’s lives.

One stove, one home, one village at a time - we’re helping Africa rise towards a cleaner, brighter tomorrow.
